How Safe is the 2021 Chevy Trax?
Subcompact SUV with Attractive Safety Ratings
Chevy offers something for everyone, including an affordably priced and safe subcompact SUV, the 2021 Chevy Trax. When it comes to safety, the 2021 Chevy Trax safety rating is noteworthy with five-star reviews from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and Good reviews from the IIHS after their crash tests.
At Spitzer Chevrolet DuBois, we proudly feature the full collection of Chevy vehicles from the speedy Corvette to the affordably priced Spark, the Bolt EV, and the popular Silverado pickup truck. Our sales staff would be honored to show you the safety features in the Trax and any other Chevy model that piques your interest.
Keeping Drivers and Passengers Safe
When it comes to safety features, the Trax LT has the most available features. Drivers can choose to add Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Rear Park Assist, and Side Blind Zone Alert. The features can be added together in the Driver’s Confidence Package. This package is only available on the Trax LT.
Despite the limited standard and available driver’s assist features, the 2021 Chevy Trax safety rating was better than many other subcompact SUVs. All of the optional driver’s assist features help drivers maneuver busy roads with confidence, especially the Side Blind Zone Alert that informs drivers if another vehicle is in their blind spot in an adjacent lane. Other safety features help drivers park safely and keep drivers aware of what is happening in the vehicles around them.
Two Trims with a Plethora of Optional Packages
The 2021 Chevy Trax comes with two trims: the LS and LT. The LS comes with standard daytime running lights, while the LT has LED daytime running lights. Both come with OnStar and Chevrolet Connected Services capability. Both come with a standard rear-view camera and 10 airbags.
Buyers can add several packages to outfit their Trax LT. The LT Convenience Package includes Keyless Open and Start, 6-way adjustability for the driver’s seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Chevy also offers an upgraded appearance package called the Midnight Edition, which is only available on the LT model. This upgrade package includes black badging, moldings, and aluminum wheels, along with the Mosaic Black Metallic exterior.
The LT also has an optional Premium Seat Package with heated front seats, leatherette seats, and a few other optional items. Chevy also offers a Sport Package and a Tint and Cruise Package for more features on an LT Trax.
